Overview
Georgia high school students must earn at least 23 credits in various subjects to graduate. Students who plan to attend a University System of Georgia institution, such as the University of Georgia, must earn two credits in the same foreign language. More information is available through the Georgia Department of Education.
Of the Georgia schools ranked in 2018 as among the U.S. News Best High Schools, 16 were awarded gold medals, 48 earned silver medals and 43 received bronze medals.

To be eligible for a state ranking, a school must be awarded a national gold, silver or bronze medal.
